What makes a good business website in 2026?
Four things decide: loading speed (mobile and desktop), clear conversion paths to contact, technical visibility for Google - and new: readability for AI search systems. Around 20 percent of German search queries already show AI Overviews; if your site doesn't qualify as a source there, you lose visibility despite good rankings.
- Performance: lean tech, optimised images, fast delivery via CDN
- Conversion: clear structure, visible contact paths, meaningful service pages
- SEO basics: clean URLs, meta data, structured data (Schema.org), sitemap
- GEO: content in HTML rather than JavaScript-only, Q&A structure, citable facts
What does "optimised for AI search" (GEO) mean in practice?
AI systems like ChatGPT and Perplexity cite pages whose content is readable in plain HTML, answers questions directly and provides verifiable facts. That is exactly what we build: server-delivered HTML, question-answer structures, FAQ and organisation schema, and AI crawlers allowed in robots.txt - the same methodology we run on our own website.
How does a web design project run at ArkeonTech?
Five steps from analysis to launch - with a clear fixed-price offer after the free initial call and optional ongoing care afterwards.
| Step | Content |
|---|---|
| 1. Initial call (free) | Goals, audience, scope - followed by a fixed-price offer |
| 2. Concept & design | Structure, content, design draft for approval |
| 3. Implementation | Development, copy, images, GDPR setup (cookie consent, legal pages) |
| 4. SEO/GEO setup | Meta data, schema, sitemap, Search Console & Bing Webmaster, AI crawler access |
| 5. Launch & care | Go-live, handover, optional ongoing maintenance |
Is the website GDPR-compliant?
Yes. EU hosting, properly configured cookie consent, privacy policy and legal notice are part of the standard setup - no afterthoughts. Forms and embedded services are configured and documented in a privacy-compliant way.
Which companies is our web design suitable for?
Companies with 5 to 250 employees whose website should generate enquiries rather than merely exist: trades and construction, medical practices, law firms, specialist retailers and industrial suppliers with a service or spare-parts business. The trigger is almost always one of three - the existing site is too slow on a phone, it is not found for the company's own services, or it is built so that AI systems cannot read its content. Typical scope is 5 to 40 subpages, in one or two languages.
- Company size: 5 to 250 employees
- Scope: 5 to 40 subpages, one or two languages
- Including service pages, blog and local findability
- Post-launch care optional under the monthly service
When is ArkeonTech the wrong provider for your website?
For online shops with large catalogues. A shop with thousands of items, ERP integration and payment processing is its own craft, and specialised agencies with the right platforms exist for it. Pure design commissions without implementation we also decline - we do not deliver layout files to be handed to another team. If a site has to be live in two weeks because a deadline looms, we say no: structure, copy and approvals take time, and a rushed website costs more later than it saved. And we make no commitment on rankings. We build the technical prerequisites for Google and AI systems; promising a position would not be honest.
Do you also build websites for companies in your own region?
Yes, and regional clients get one thing that nationwide providers often skip: local findability. Being found in your own town needs more than an attractive home page. It needs clean location data in the markup, a maintained Google Business Profile, consistent directory entries, and copy that names the place without stuffing it into every sentence. We build that in. ArkeonTech develops in Aalen in southern Germany and meets clients across the surrounding region in person.
- Structured location data in the markup so search engines and AI systems place you correctly
- Company name, address and phone number aligned across site, imprint and directories
- Copy that connects the service to the region instead of listing place names
- In-person meetings across the Aalen region and the greater Stuttgart area
Who is your point of contact?
Michael Kaiser, owner of ArkeonTech: business informatics (DHBW Heidenheim), B.Sc. Business Analytics (Aalen University), previously several years as an ERP consultant to mid-sized companies in Baden-Württemberg. He designs the structure, builds the site and sets up Search Console, Bing Webmaster and AI crawler access. This website is the working example: it runs on the same methodology we build into yours, and the measurements behind it are published on the blog.
